Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh

Shri Sai attended ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ program organized at Telibandha Gurudwara in Raipur

Shri Vishnu Deo Sai took part in Kirtan and Ardas, also bowed down to Guru Granth Sahib

Raipur, 26 December 2023/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended ‘Veer Bal Diwas’program organized at Telibandha Gurudwara (Gurudwara Dhan-Dhan Baba Budha Sahib Ji) of Raipur today. He bowed down to Guru Granth Sahib, performed customary ritual at Gurudwara and took part in ‘Kirtan’ and ‘Ardas’ as well. He paid homage to the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family and the martyrdom of his sons. Cabinet Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, MP Shri Sunil Soni, MLAs Shri Purandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu and Shri Sampat Aggarwal also participated in the program. Gurdwara Management Committee and many office-bearers of Sikh community were also present in the program.
In his address to the program, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said- “I am here to pay obeisance at Guru Granth Sahib on the occasion of ‘Veer Bal Diwas’. I salute the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his Sahibzadas. Sikh community has played an important role in the independence movement of the country and has also given a major contribution in protecting the religion of Hinduism. Recalling the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Bahadur Singh, he said that at the young age of six and nine years, these children were imprisoned by the Mughal ruler. They sacrificed their lives to protect their religion.
Chief Minister Shri Sai thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the initiative to commemorate the martyrdom of Sahibzadas by observing this day as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ every year. On the occasion of ‘Prakash Parv’, Prime Minister had announced that 26th of December every year will be observed as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ to remember the martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Bahadur Singh.
Shri Sai said in his address to the program that he aims to live up to the expectations of people in Chhattisgarh while discharging his duties and responsibilities as Chief Minister. He also affirmed his government’s determination to fulfill Modi’s guarantee in the state. In our very first Cabinet meeting, we have decided to build 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas for the people of the state. On 25th December, i.e. on Good Governance Day, the outstanding paddy bonus of past two years was paid to the farmers. He thanked Sikh community for the invitation to the program.
